ALONG RONDA'S GORGE
Ronda's own hike
This is a magnificent hike around the whole base of the mighty cliff of Ronda. It is a very beautiful circular route in the proximity of Ronda's old town with hints on the history of the town, agriculture and wildlife. 3-4 h
TAJO DEL ABANICO
The hidden gorge and cave
A relaxed walk that will take us walking from Ronda to a gorge usually unperceived by many. We'll walk along an ancient cobble stone path into a secret gorge near Ronda with a fan-shaped cave! 3 h
CUEVA DEL GATO
Hiking along the river
Easy and short walk along the banks of the Guadiaro river that will take us to the impressive Cueva del Gato, declared Natural Monument. Its crystal clear pond will take your breath away!
SIERRA DE LAS NIEVES
Quejigales and even Torrecilla
One of the most popular hiking tours in Ronda. This is a circular route across a Spanish Fir forest with an optional ascent to the Torrecilla peak (1919 m), the highest summit in the area! 5-7 h. More

Grazalema's own hike
This is a very convenient and interesting circular hike just by the beautiful village of Grazalema. A great hike for wildlife lovers for there is a chance to see Iberian Ibex and some endemic plants. 3-4 h
CERRO COROS
Our favourite hike
This easy hike takes us on a circular route from Puerto Palomas around the Coros Peak. Enjoy scenic views all along the hike, including stunning views over the Zahara's reservoir and Grazalema's Natural Park. 3-4 h
VALLE DEL GENAL
Best hike in autumn
A variety of hiking routes near Cartajima offer us a very rewarding hike across Chestnut hills, secially in autumn. November is the best time of the year enjoy the ochre colours of the Chestnut's leaves. 3-5 h
GARGANTA VERDE
Sierra de Grazalema's pearl
We'll be right at the heart of the Sierra de Grazalema. This is a very impressive hike along a bosky gorge at a restricted area of the park. Griffon Vultures galore and a big cavity await you at the end of the path! 3-4 h
PINSAPAR DE GRAZALEMA
Our little Alaska
Another restriced hike, this time along the biggest and most impressive Fir forest in southern Spain. A challenging hike well rewarded by the impressive views of the hill north of Grazalema. 5-6 h

The Visitor Centre in Ronda recommended Alvaro, both he and his wife do bird tours. I texted him and he responded quickly. I went on a hike to the Sierra de la Nieves with Alvaro. Alvaro chose our destination, as I was keen to do lots of hiking near Ronda. We drove out to the park and on our four hour walk we saw Ibis, wild boar, beautiful ancient trees, tiny orchids, salamanders, and many birds (he had a cheat bird call on his phone to attract them). This was well above and beyond his call of duty and was it so appreciated. Because of Alvaro I got to do the Caminato. It is without question that if he had not helped me I would have missed out. I was really blessed to make contact with Alvaro.
